Discover the unique combination of nature, culture and history on the island of Seurasaari! During this guided tour, you will learn about Finland’s traditional wooden architecture and rural life in the 19th century. During the museum season (approximately 15 May–15 September), admission tickets can be purchased separately.
Access to the museum courtyards and selected museum buildings is available only with a valid admission ticket. Without a ticket, the historic buildings and courtyards can be viewed from the outside only. With admission, you will visit three selected museum buildings and gain fascinating insights into Finnish folk culture. The museum shop and the Parsonage Garden are freely accessible during opening hours.
Your guide has extensive knowledge of the island’s history, architecture and natural environment and will lead you through this unique cultural and nature experience. After the tour, you may continue exploring the island or the museum independently (please note the museum opening hours).
The tour follows gravel paths with gentle inclines. The museum buildings and courtyards have thresholds and are partly inaccessible for visitors with reduced mobility.
